Within the internal proceedings of the Committee on Research in Game Psychology of the GAME Science Research Center, on monday the 3rd of July a special edition of the course “People and Play” by Ron Edwards will start.
For context, Ron Edwards is a game designer and one of the theorists who contributed the most to the role-playing culture. During the ’90 and early 2000 he brought to the table theories about role-playing and rpgs that completely shifted the paradigm we used to understand them.
His course “People and Play” is an introductory course: it presents the immediate experience of play, what it’s like to do it, what interactions and concepts are involved, some of the shapes and profiles the activity has taken over its history, and its qualities as a unique medium of expression (description taken from the Ron Edwards’ Adept Play website)
The course reserved a number of spots for the members of Committee, but is open to everyone who is interested.
There are currently only 5 slots left.
The course will be online, 8:00-10:00 PM (italian time 20:00-22:00), on July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31.

Per i lavori interna della Commissione per la Ricerca in Psicologia del Gioco del GAME Science Research Center, lunedì 3 luglio partirà un’edizione speciale del corso “People and Play” di Ron Edwards.
A contesto, Ron Edwards è uno dei game designer e teorici che ha contribuito maggiormente alla cultura del gioco di ruolo. Durante gli anni ’90 e nei primi anni 2000 ha messo sul tavolo teorie riguardo al “ruolare” e ai gdr che hanno completamente cambiato il paradigma che usiamo per comprenderli.
Il suo corso “People and Play” è un corso introduttivo: presenta l’esperienza più immediata del giocare, cos’è l’esperienza stessa di gioco, quali interazioni e concetti sono coinvolti, alcune forme e profili che l’attività del giocare di ruolo ha assunto nella storia, e le qualità che ha come medium di espressione unico (descrizione tradotta e adattata dal sito Adept Play di Ron Edwards)
Il corso ha una quota di slot riservati ai membri della Commissione, ma è aperto a tutte le persone interessare.

Il corso si terrà online, in inglese, dalle 20:00 alle 22:00 dei lunedì di luglio, quindi nelle date 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 luglio 2023.
